PESCI Training

PESCI is an interview whereby a panel assesses the skills, knowledge and experience required for the position being applied for.

These workshops are offered to International Medical Graduates seeking registration with the Medical Board of Australia who are required to attend a Pre-Employment Structured Clinical Interview (PESCI). The aim of this ALM is to prepare candidates for the interview process.

The PESCI preparation program is an engaging and intense two-week delivery whereby the GPs can gain confidence in their own skills and knowledge thus preparing them for the rigours of the interview process.

International Medical Graduates (IMGs) play a critical role in the provision of health care to Australian communities. In 2011 to 2012 there were 29,011 GPs in Australia. Of those 10,857 were IMGs with 63% working in major cities and 37% in rural or remote areas.

The preparation for the PESCI interview is crucial to the success of candidates entering the Australian Health Care system, as  this course plays a pivotal role in increasing their knowledge and communication skills so GPs are better equipped when they attend their interviews.
